Course Introduction:

The Provide First Aid (Full Course) at Down Under Training equips you with the skills and knowledge to handle a wide range of emergencies. Whether it’s medical conditions, injuries, or the need for CPR, this training ensures you can act confidently and effectively in any critical situation.

Perfect for anyone looking to develop essential skills for responding to emergencies, whether at work, home, or in public settings. In particular, it’s valuable for individuals working in industries where safety is a priority, such as construction, education, hospitality, and health care.

Course Overview:

This 1 Day training covers three key competencies:

  1. HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): Learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. Then, you’ll understand how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) during cardiac emergencies.
  2. HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support:  Learn skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
  3. HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: The skills to manage a wide range of medical emergencies, including handling bleeding, burns, fractures, and injuries. Learn how to respond to conditions like asthma, allergic reactions, and shock.

Certification:

Receive nationally-recognised Statements of Attainment for HLTAID009, HLTAID010 and HLTAID011. This certification validates your competency in first aid and CPR, therefore ensuring you are well-prepared to manage emergencies confidently.

Training Location:

Training is provided at the Down Under Training facility, located in Nexus Business Park, Paget, Mackay.
